Are you sacrificing your well-being in the pursuit of your goals? Do you often find yourself thinking what other people think about you, measuring your worth by their scale and opinions? If you’re nodding along, feeling the weight of societal expectations, battling with self-doubt, then I’m with you. 😅

For young ambitious individuals, particularly those caught in the whirlwind of workaholism, finding a balance between personal fulfillment and society’s expectations can feel like an uphill battle.

And cultivating things like “self-love” and dismantling the shackles of “external validation” is not an easy task for us.

I know, I know that the term “self-love” sounds too corny, but I’m sticking with it for now …

You know, a common thing many of us do is tying our sense of worth to how much validation we get from our friends and peers.

We’re constantly seeking approval — either consciously or unconsciously. We don’t always like to admit it, but deep down, we crave that acceptance so we don’t feel alone in this big ol’ world, even if it’s not real real.
